I often read contemporary authors quite quickly; there's something irresistable about turning the page which makes me speed up. With Somalia Seaton's Crowning Glory, that felt too much like I was missing everything, so I read in chunks and slowly. There is so much to glean in between the text, and yet there is a directness which excites me.
An amalgamtion of storries, all adding to a picture with strong choices and varried voices, it's a play that makes me want to talk about it. This one is due a re-read.
