Notes to Future Self - Don't Read Sad Plays in Public

Writer: Bryony Hazel RandallBryony Hazel Randall

Intergenerational with an all-female cast, I felt incredibly artsy reading Lucy Caldwell's "Notes to Future Self" in cold London parks, January last year. It's emotional and philosophical, with a certain amount of fun and rudeness thrown in for good measure. I would love to see this play live, especially all the costumes. As fantastical as the characters are, they feel real and they made me cry in public.

I have read and re-read this play; I was going to use a scene for my directing unit at HND before the world ended. Oh well, maybe someday.

Slightly unrelated, while I read this, someone threw a Christmas tree out the top window of a block of flats, and I jumped out of my skin. It's like we're building memories together.
