I first read Porcelain on the 1st of January 2020 as part of my resolution to read 52 plays that year - I was wowed Margaret Perry's expressive writing style that felt so natural to me. It was hard to read the next play instead of going straight for the re-read - who knew porcelain could stick to you? The main character, Hat, has my heart and I am keeping my eye out for more Perry works.
Several strong women, a non-gender specific roll, branching between Ireland and England. This one's a keeper.
